Sarah grew up exploring plants and their attendant wildlife in the wooded plains of Northeastern Kansas. She earned her B.Sc. in Wildlife Biology from Missouri State University in 2006, and has been engaged in the worlds of science and education ever since.
In 2021 she opened Oak & iO, serving the Kansas City area as a native landscape designer and consultant.
She lives in KCMO with her wife and their two kids. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, travel, thrifting, and proudly serves as a Missouri Master Naturalist volunteer.
